04-19-04, 07:51 AM Do you trigger a trap by using a chime of opening?As for last time we figured in our group that mechanical ones wouldn`t be set off, while magical ones would - so what are the cracks stating...?

04-19-04, 10:00 AM It would trigger traps that have an opening mechanism (like chests, etc.) It would not trigger a trap that sends a lightning bolt when someone steps on a flagstone.

For traps that require a panel to open, etc in order for the trap to fucntin, it might also have an effect, although it would not necessarily trigger the trap... only reveal it!

If the trap is sprung when the item is opened, then yes, it goes off. It doesn't matter HOW the device was opened, just that it was.
