Hello,

I have a Sorc. who i've had since level 2 and is now level 20 (soon to be epic i hope)
Now, i have the 5th level spell Fabricate (we're running 3.0e btw) and he also has 23 ranks in Craft:Carpentry, with ta total skill modifier of 30, (ooo yeah! )
Could he use fabricate to contruct a simple log house, if he had the materails? Or does he need another craft skills?

He also has a ring which cost him a fortune, but allows him to do telekensis as a free action each round.

How large is the hardness and hit points of an average tree in a forest?

Because i plan for him to walk through the forest or fly over it, using his telekensis, to chop down the tree and then for him to build a load of homes for the homeless.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post, i look forward to your answers.

Fabricate is loads of problems when used intelligently.

If you are building homes for the homeless, there is probably not going to be any problems, however, when/if you get crafty and start making walls of iron and fabricating platemail, or changing the forest into a fleet of warships, then balance flies out the cuckoo's nest.

why smash the trees? just fabricate them where they stand. clear the land and build houses in one fell swoop!

anyways, hardness is listed in a table somewhere i thought. probably about 4 (i think hard stone is 8). hp i am also not sure of... but it will be based on how many inches thick it is. should be right near the hardness table. can't remember where it's at though, since i haven't touched 3.0 in a while...

Wood is hardness 5 and 10hp/per inch of thickness.
