10-03-07, 09:57 PM Nope, and I believe there was a big thread on it too at some point. Concensus seemed to be it was just a bit uber for a 1st level spell, especially with the paralyze effect it could have.

10-04-07, 07:48 AM It wasn't upgraded. That's because spell caps were invented. In 2ed spells scaled infinetly. In 3.5 1st level spells reach maximum power at 5th caster level (exeption: magic missle, IIRC). Chromatic Orb is simply too powerful for a 1st level spell, at least at higher levels.

Howewer, should spell points be used, it could return.
