Bopple 06-01-04, 08:54 AM	I remember there is an item which increases caster level, other than Bead of Karma or Orange Ioun Stone. But I cannot remember the name. Would anyone tell me the name?
Pathanus 06-01-04, 09:46 AM	The Robe of the Archmage and/or the Staff of the Magi give bonus Spell Focus feats when worn/carried. Those increase caster level, but not broad spectrum wise. I think some other magic staves have Spell Focus as well. Path

First of all, you've got Spell Focus and Spell Penetration mixed up. Spell Focus increases the save DC of your spells from one school. Spell Penetration gives you a bonus to caster level checks made to penetrate SR. Secondly, the robe of the archmage gives you an enhancement bonus to CL checks to penetrate SR, but doesn't give you the Spell Focus feat. This is usually for the better, since the two stack this way. Thirdly, the staff of the magi does nothing of the sort.
darque_jedi 06-02-04, 10:46 AM	Can't think of any items that do that, but in the BoVD there is a drug that temporarily increases your CL for something like 20 min. not a bad amount of time during combat.
