| Dalton Onestone01-09-05, 07:42 AM | If a Fireball is Enlarged (which I think involves taking it up one slot) to be a 4th level spell, it still does damage according to CL, I presume. So that would mean that a scroll of Enlarged Fireball would do 7d6 of damage, not 5d6, right? |
| Venom of the Yuan Ti01-09-05, 08:28 AM | It would do damadge as the minimum possable caster level, or higher if it was bought for more, so yes, 7d6. However I am not sure if about how if would work, can a wizard without the metamagic feat use it? |
| Kratch01-09-05, 08:31 AM | Correct, you'd use at least the minimum CL needed to cast the spell from the appropriate slot. Note: it's still considered a third level spell for everything else, such as save DC's, ability to penitrate globes of invulnerabilities, etc. Once the spell is on the scroll, anyone who could use a normal version of the spell could use the metamagic'd version. same as a sorcerer who doesn't know how to cast fireball could still use a fireball scroll, it's available to them, they just never learned to do it themselves. |
