Hi guys,i was thinking about fist of stone (SC).

i'm not sure if the +6 enhancement to Str is valid also if i am using a melee weapon rather than the fist.
the description says that you canmake a the slam attack as a natural secondary attack as a part of a full attack action, but don't specify if my attack action must be completely unarmed.

And first of all,it seems that the +6 works only with the fist itself.

what do you think ?

My impression is that the +6 is in addition to the slam attack. People may argue it is better than Bull's Strength, but remember the duration is shorter.

EDIT: just reread the spell. The +6 can be applied to melee attacks whether slam or not.

The duration is considerably shorter mind you.

yes,probably you are right.
So i think it is one of the better spells at low levels.
Not for a pure wizard, but for some melee casters.

thank you

The duration is considerably shorter mind you.

I don't have the SC with me, but I believe it's also limited by the fact that it's range is Personal and the uses of the strength is limited mostly to attacking (as only your arms grow stronger).

The reason the spell is so strong is that whoever wrote it probably thought to himself, "If as wizard finds himself in melee, he's screwed." I think it was the same thought when they wrote Wraithstrike.

When you throw a gish into the mix, however, it starts to look amazing.
