Cant find this in any FAQ. So it does seem to be clear for everyone but me.
I am playing a wizard and I am trying to write Dispel Magic from a scroll to my spellbook.
The check is ok, but how many days does it takes to write the spell in the spellbook.
The players handbook says 24hours. What does it means in days? Does it take one day with sleep ? Does it take 2 days-12 hours work with other hours to do stuff ? Does it take 3 days with a normal 8 hours work per day ? If the 24h doesnt count the sleep time, can I rush the writing to write for a full 24 hours straight ?

I play it as one day. Your day includes eating, sleeping, etc. Nothing you do can speed up the process.

The other interpretation that would be reasonable is that it would take you three actual days, assuming an 8 hour "work" day (as the rules generally seem to do).

I also play it as one day. My party-mates hate waiting a day or two for my wizard to get a new spell into my book as it is. Lengthening the process to three or four days would mean he would have to either 1) forego learning new spells altogether (other than the ones he gets for leveling) or 2) I would have to ditch the character altogether!

I concur, one day. You don't actually spend 24 hours writing. The rest of your day is spent mentally prepping yourself so that you don't screw up writing down the scroll and wasting precious pages in your spellbook.

That reminds me...

Time to index my spell book again - I like to make sure my wizard is sticking to the page limit rules...

There is no page limit. Just buy another spellbook. Or better yet, buy a boccobs blessed book. It will save you a fortune in the long run, especially if you make it yourself.
