| Bob5th07-15-07, 01:36 PM | If I wildshape into a Brown Bear I have 2 1d8 claw attacks. If I then cast Girallon's Blessing on myself if gives me and extra set of arms. It also gives me 4 1d4 claw attacks. I'm trying to figure out how this works together. Do the 1d4 claws replace my 1d8 claws? I see 3 basic options for how this could work. 4x 1d8 Claws or 4x 1d4 Claws or 2x 1d8 Claws (primary arms) 2x 1d4 Claws (secondary arms) Also since I am a large creature as a Brown Bear would the claws be 1d4 or 1d6? Thanks for any help you can give. I playing my first druid and she is level 8. It's fun but all this wildshaping stuff is complicated but I think I've got the basics down. |

A strict reading of the spell says all of your arms now do 1d4 damage + str bonus. Now as a dm I would probably let your primary arms do the same damage they use to but the rend wouldn't change. Also as a side note, I wouldn't change the claw damage based on size (ie a large sized caster getting 1d6 or a small doing 1d3). the spell is a druid spell so it seems they would have thought about druids wildshaping so there's that. |

I agree with Zaistars here, both on the strict reading of the spell and how I would actually rule it in practice. Note there are several druid spells that give one claw attacks, but only some of them note changes in damage for size differences (Beast Claws vs Claws of the Bear for example). Jack |
