What alignments of the class cleric would raise and or command undead not for evil but just to accomplish their goals?

Something like using a horde of zombies as sheilds, or having them slow down a group of villians?

Only Neutral or Evil clerics can cast Animate Dead and its ilk as they are [Evil] spells.

I have in fact DM'd a game where Necromancy was not evil.

It required only a few house rules to do.

Instead Enchantment was the evil school - Taking control of someone's mind is FAR more evil than using their body after they have passed on, at least in my opinion.

Necromancy as a school is not evil......but certain necromantic spells are. Neutral Clerics using evil spells are slowly moving toward the evil alignment. Rebuking undead is also an evil act. Neutral Clerics dabbling too much into undead run the risk of a potential alignment shift.
