Cleric Spell that gives bonus to # of Turn Undeads.... [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-19-05, 09:42 PM Hi, I play a cleric and was wondering if anyone else had created or found a spell that would give a cleric more Turn undead attempts? I was thinking of something that gave the user more turns after he had run out of his normal amount. I know about the feat Extra Turning feat, I was wondering if there was a spell.

Yes - Eagles's Splendor (+4 Cha) would effectively give you 2 more Turn Attempts / Day for the duration of the spell - thus increasing your maximum uses per day normally afforded your 3 + Cha Bonus + Other Enhancements. If you cast it a 2nd time in the same day it wouldn't give you more attempts as you'd already have used two attempts over your normal (unmodified) maximum. You'd have to find something to give you more than a temp +4 to get an extra temporary attempt for that day.

If you're looking for a spell that _directly_ gives you turn attempts though, I've never heard of any.

02-19-05, 10:55 PM Though it isn't a spell, the nightsticks (from Libris Mortis) give 4 extra turn attempts/day to the wearer. They cost around 7k gold, IIRC.

02-19-05, 11:16 PM Thanks, I didnt think of the Eagles Splendor thats a good idea. I was looking for ways to get more out of the Divine Metamagic Feat, and the Divine Spell Power Feat out of the Complete Divine. And i should check out libris mortis and book of exalted deeds... Also would anybody have any house rules on Magic Holy symbols, I remember reading about them in Defenders of the Faith(3.0) and was wondering if there was anything 3.5ish?

02-20-05, 12:01 AM Dragon Magazine carried something in Class Acts about holy symbols within the last 6 months. Also some Mongoose stuff for clerics have bonus holy symbol stuff.
