| Priest_of_Shaundakul05-28-06, 11:02 AM | for damage? It's a cleric of Istishia, the god of water. For thematic reasons i'm not going to use any fire magic, even though though by the rules you could do such a thing. |
| Thiez05-28-06, 11:10 AM | Empowered Searing Light? :) Or just inflict critical wounds. You could empower that, too. I'd go for slay living, but that isn't really damage. |
| runestar05-28-06, 11:12 AM | Take energy substitution: cold... ;) |
| Priest_of_Shaundakul05-28-06, 11:15 AM | I agree feats could help, and have considered that course. But i'm pressed as far as feat selection go, I need a few more to meet the requirements for a PrC...so, those are out. Anything non-core is fine, just mention the source. This actually arose when I realized that flame strike was off limits (as you know it's a fairly popular/dependable spell) Thanks in any event guys! |
| Moe05-28-06, 11:33 AM | Best damage a cleric can do: heal the warrior and keep him alive ... |
| DarkRhystar05-28-06, 11:56 AM | Hypothermia, Moon Bolt, and Sound Lance are all good 4th level choices. Find a copy of the Spell Compendium and check them out. :) |
| Thiez05-28-06, 11:57 AM | Maybe you can ask your DM if your 'flame strike' could do electricity or cold damage instead? You know, a new spell, that is just like flame strike except for the energy type. Try 'Lightning Strike' or 'Frost Strike'? |
| beaver102405-29-06, 01:19 AM | You do realise don't you that clerics can research new spells just like wizards can? |
| smrtgmp05-29-06, 03:34 AM | The spell compendium has a solid selection of cold based cleric spells. Ice flowers is nice (as far as DD goes). |
| Someone05-29-06, 02:24 PM | And for multiple target spells, there's mass inflict light wounds and insect plague. Or the alignment spells: holy smite/unholy blight/chaos hammer/order's wrath. |
