It says that it behaves similar to Fog Cloud, but does this also mean that it can be completely dispersed and eliminated if a strong wind gust blows through it? Or does it magically keep moving at a rate of 10 feet per round and it unaffected by winds? Or do winds stack with the Cloudkill so if a wind is blowing at 20 MPH in the same direction, it would speed the Cloudkill's movement? Any help would be great. Thanks. |
| Wizard01-05-04, 02:45 PM | Cloudkill is affected normally by winds. It behaves similarly to fog cloud that way. |

| Perpetual Wizard01-06-04, 12:38 PM | Kind of makes the 3rd level Gust of Wind spell a little more appealing doesn't it. In fact, any of the "cloud" spells can be easily countered by this spell. Our DM even ruled gas based breath weapons are swept away by Gust of Wind. A very usefull and often overlooked defensive spell. A while back, the corridor our party was in filled with poison gas, so our quick thinking wizard cast gust of wind and cleared the way for the rest of us. A normally deadly trap countered without harm to a single party member. Then later, a green dragon kept trying (and failing) to breath its poison breath on us. Great spell. |
