This silver chain, whose links have been inscribed with multiple sigils of blessing and beneficience, is clearly meant to be worn around the neck.

This magical item was created as a teaching aid to the forces of darkness. While some creatures turn to evil out of a desire for depravity and wanton destruction, a few are only evil because they have never been taught otherwise. The collar of goodly teachings is a method of correcting this.

The collar is a cursed item, and requires both a Remove Curse and an Atonement spell (cast by a good cleric) to be removed. While it is worn, it provides the benefit of a phylactery of faithfulness. However, any wearer of the collar attempting to act according to the collar's instructions is forced to make a DC 10 Charisma check. The collar cannot compel its wearer to commit obviously self-destructive acts. If the wearer of the collar successfully makes the check and continues in their action, the collar tarnishes. A quick glance at the collar is enough to determine if its wearer has been resisting or not.

Rumors exists of dark, corrupted versions of these items, which appear to teach virtue but actually will encourage their wearers to kill only when they cannot be discovered.

Price: 3,000 gp. Caster level: 3rd. Spells needed: Detect evil, charm person, sanctuary.

Thinking of including a greater collar, that is sentient and can make ego checks and hold person its wearer. Anyway, the idea behind this magical item is that you slap it on some hulking brute who's never been taught anything but savagery and dominance as an extra way to bring him into civilization. You give the captured orcish warriors weekly lectures on goodness and morality, and have them wear these collars to help it sink in.
