Do we add our HP to make a temporary pull of HP till the end of the spells? That could be fun to have HP = to company HP :D and with Antimagic Field (if it works) there will be no risk to lose 1HP :D .....no, no, I m not a smoker :D Is it a suicidal combo? :D I mean, if she takes half damage from me and I take half damage from her and so on... Who dies first? :D :D :D :D :D :D Can a mosquito kill us? :D 1/2 => 1/3? (the more the spell is cast the more the spell is useless) Is the description of HP protection simply vanish? Is there a possibility to reduce those damages?

Is there a possibility to reduce those damages? All those questions, One simple answer: Only one shield other can operate on a character at a time. And so, if the cleric had cast the spell on you, he takes half your damage. If you cast the protection on him afterwards, only yours works. And then the paladin casts shield other on the cleric, your spell loses it's effect. Seriously, this spell should be of the [Good] subtype (according to the BoED) for a reason. It's loses it's meaning when players try to exploit it... But it's OK to have fun with spells theoreticly.
Nom 02-03-06, 06:43 PM	shield other works against damage from "wounds and attacks". Voluntarily sharing lost hp is not a "wound or attack", and cannot be further redirected. As for the AM field, if the damage cannot be redirected to you (because part or all of the spell isn't functioning) then it is applied to the target as normal, just as if the spell had ended.
