It is very powerfull for a 2nd level spell. Is there some errata that I have not found about this spell? |
| Phelf_Der_Zemit10-06-07, 02:36 PM | Well it is a nice spell but youve looked over some things. 1) It's a touch spell, so without using a feat or being a archmage it brings down the power a bit. 2) They take 1d8 fire damage per caster level (max 10d8) and must make a Reflex Save or catch fire per DMG. |

Some of my PCs tried using these nasty touch spells, none every tried them twice. Against a bruiser, wizard goes down in one round (or die), it's as simple as that. |

There is no errata yet, but we have been promised some from the developers for the Spell Compendium and Magic Item Compendium... |

Perhaps your PCs should have added spectral hand (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/spectralHand.htm) to their repertoire (assuming they were wizards or sorcerers). ;) :P |
