This thread is to gather the truly most frequently raised topics (often called a FAQ, but in this case expanded to include non-questions as well) you have experienced on the D&D Magic & Spells.

I will be accumulating these suggestions and scouring the Boards (some of us have a working Search feature) for the most common answers (why reinvent the wheel?) to compile into a "truly useful links" sticky for this Board.

Alterself/polymorph/etc
Limitations of illusions
What people know when spells are cast on them
Coup de grace with spells
Back stab with spells
Silence saving throw
Resting/Regaining spells
Different uses of Dispell Magic

02-27-08, 02:15 PM I would add the proper stacking of metamagic.

Crafting items with metamagic effects.

Crafting items with metamagic effects when the source is a Sudden Metamagic or a DMM version.

The adjudication of Charm spells.

What constitutes "effects that grant the caster ongoing control over the subject" (for the Protection from ___ spells.)

It has been a few weeks since I offered this thread. I'd like to offer some more guidance now...

Scan through the past week or so worth of threads and see if any of the titles seem to scream at you with "I've been asked before!!" And then post a link to that thread here.
