| R.M.G.C.L.F.05-19-05, 03:58 PM | Just posting some less powerful and combat oriented spells that a cleric might use to fit the needs of the community as a whole, bring good harvests, and in general do the things that ordinary people pray for. Bless Plant Level: Clr0, Drd0, Adp0 Components:V,S Casting Time: 1 round Duration: one year Range: Touch Target: One small plant SR: No Save: None This spell protects a single shrub, herb, root, grass, or bush plant and nurtures it. The plant recieves saving throws against all harmful effects of bad weather, insects, magic, and fungus, and gains a +3 resistance bonus to these saves. That year it grows twice as fast and produces twice its normal yeild of fruit, nuts, or berries. Bless Crop Level: Clr2,Dr1,Adp1 Components: V,S,M Casting Time: 1 minute Duration: One year Range: 100ft area plus 20ft per level. Target: One crop of plants. SR:No Save: None This spell causes a crop to grow well and produce 125% of the harvest for an ordinary year. It endures all mundane weather, blights, and parasites, and it gains a saving throw against any magical ones with a +5 resistance bonus. Material Component: A sprinkling of water. Bless Dwelling Level: Clr3,Adp2 Components: V,S,M Duration: permanent Range: 30ft plus 10ft per level SR:No Save: None This spell must be cast on a house while it is being built or when it has been finished no more than a day ago. The building as a object has 1 additional hit point per caster level, 1 additional hardness per caster level (minimum of 1, maximum +10), any locks in it gain a +3 enhancement bonus to their dc, and any malevolent undead, fey, or outsiders that have no specific reason to enter it will avoid it (no save). Material Component: A bottle of holy water or sacred wine (same cost) poured over the threshold or mixed into the mortar. Bless Tool Level:Clr2,Adp1 Components:V Range: Touch Duration: Permanent Range: touch Target: One mundane tool SR:No Save: None This spell grants an ordinary, simple tool (such as a hammer, a sewing needle, etc.) a +1 enhancement bonus to all its normal tasks. This cannot be cast on any set of tools (such as theives tools or a healing kit). |

This cannot be cast on any set of tools (such as theives tools or a healing kit). If cast on a crowbar, does it gain an enhancement bonus on attack and damage? |
| R.M.G.C.L.F.05-19-05, 04:16 PM | If you're "attacking" a damaged floorboard that needs to be pried open, then yes. +1 enhancement bonus to all its normal tasks A crowbar is not normally used for bashing people on the head, and anything that is would be a weapon rather than a tool. That line is created to prevent examples of abuse such as the one you mentioned. |
| Karanth05-19-05, 04:19 PM | I like it. |
| R.M.G.C.L.F.05-19-05, 04:47 PM | Thanks. :) |
| tarkin05-19-05, 05:13 PM | You haven't worked in corporate america. OK, lets try again, this time using the things that most people REALLY pray for: Curse neighbor's Plant Curse neighbor's Crop Curse neighbor's Dwelling Curse neighbor's Tool |
| R.M.G.C.L.F.05-19-05, 05:28 PM | This isn't corporate america. This is medieval greyhawk, were most people are too busy recovering from the latest monster attack and catering to adventurers to gain emnity towards one another. |
| Branto08-23-05, 05:42 PM | How about 'Induce Lactation'? ... errr, for those mothers in the village who are having problems producing enough milk, of course.. *cough*.. yeah, that's it. Certainly no intention of using it on fellow party members. .. ^^; Higher caster levels would allow them to produce faster (which means of course, more) And the spell would also take care of things like allowing the skin to stretch enough to hold all the milk without pain. The range would be, of course, Touch :) ... what? I'm a werekitty.. we like milk. |
| R.M.G.C.L.F.08-23-05, 05:48 PM | I think that would be something for the mature forums. ^^; |
| was_fired08-23-05, 06:03 PM | Bless plant is too powerful for a level zero spell. If you made it double the yield it would be in line, but ten times is five times too much. |
| R.M.G.C.L.F.08-23-05, 06:28 PM | Fixed |

| elven warriorXX01-23-06, 10:06 PM | dang, I already made a water to wine spell. =s Oh sorry XD I will go looking through my old AD&D books to see if I can find anymore good spells. |
| jaelis01-23-06, 11:28 PM | Probably ought to have a level cap on bless dwelling. At least on the hardness increase... adding +20 hardness to a castle's walls is a lot, even at CL 20. Nice spells though. |
| R.M.G.C.L.F.01-24-06, 06:46 PM | Done. Cap is +5. |
