One is a swift spell that gives a +10 on Bluff checks to feignt for that round. The other is a spell that makes the opponent flat-footed for one round. Isn't the latter obviously better, as the goal of a feignt check to make you opponent flat-footed? I guess the point is, why cast the first spell when the second one works better? |

Since the former is a bonus you get, it'll always be active - so if you were trying to bluff something that had high SR and a good save, but a relatively weak Sense Motive, that'd make the first one the way to go. |

In particular, feinting a Barbarian (or anyone else with Uncanny Dodge) allows you to make a sneak attack. Rendering them flat-footed does not. In such a situation, getting a +10 to your Bluff check is substantially superior. |
