Attended weapons and armor? Magical weapons and armor? If Crumble can target an iron wall then I guess it should be able to target a suit of iron armor? I'm not really asking for the exact meaning of the text, I can read that. I am asking what people believe the game designers' intent was here. This is a 6th level spell. Should it be powerful enough to destroy a magical suit of full plate right off a fighter's back? Disintegrate can do that. Crumble is limited in that it can't target living beings. And the second question is; since this is merely a damage dealing spell with no secondary effects shouldn't the Save be Fortitude half or even Fortitude negates instead of Fortitude partial? |

Fortitude is usually partial (or all-or-nothing), whereas Reflex tends to be save-for-half. In any case, I wouldn't sweat it. |

I wondered the same thing myself when I read the spell description, and that was the conclusion I came to. If they meant it to be Fort (negates), they probably would have said so. I could see how it would be easy to put partial when you really meant half. Also, it should be noted that since the spell is subject to SR, it wont affect golems. Other constructs would be fair game, however. |
