Are there any other common familiars (no extra feats) besides those listed in the PHB? I've heard people mention fox and raccoon, but I need something official. Maybe something from Dragon? If you know of official alternate familiars please list the source and the special abilities would be helpful too. To start things off here are a few alternates from Dragon 323 pg. 98: Catapillar +3 disguise (DMG equivalent of a mouse) Fly +3 gather information (DMG equivalent of a thrush, but fine size) Fox +2 Will save (MM equivalent of a cat) Hummingbird +4 initiative (DMG equivalent of a thrush) Mink +3 diplomacy (DMG equivalent of a ferret) Spider +3 sleight of hand (DMG equivalent of a mouse) Turtle +1 AC while prone or behind cover (DMG equivalent of a hedgehog) Vulture +4 fort vs disease (MM equivalent of a hawk)
