Confused about Girallon's Blessing (Spell Compendium) [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-20-06, 08:32 PM Ok, so reading the spell it goes something like this...

For 10 minutes a level you grow an additional pair of arms and those arms as well as any existing arms grow claws and opposable thumbs. Continues to state that you gain 4 claw attacks at bab + str that deal d4 + str, ok simple enough right?

Ok, problem then becomes, what if you already had natural claw attacks with the original two claws? Say if you were polymorphed into a troll that had 2 claw attacks for d6 each, do you get 2 x 1d6 + 2 x 1d4 or just 4 x 1d4?

Anyways, I would rule it that creatures like the troll would get an extra set of 1d6s. But that is my opinion.
