Shugenja. Currently playing a Shugenja in a campaign (more out of flavor than of ability), I'm using the Complete Divine Shugenja. But going into level 5, I noticed something odd. I'm supposed to pick a new level 0 spell from my elemental focus (in this case, earth), the problem is that I have them all.

Only four 0 level spells are listed, mage hand, mending, resistace, and virtue. I also get my Order spell, which in this case is mending. So I've already had all 4 earth 0 level spells by level 2.

So what additional spells do I get to choose from at level 5. Looking down the Spells Known list, I'll then have to select another one at level 9.

I'll bring it up to my DM, we'll probably just work it out to pick from any element for those extra spells, but that is pretty poorly worded.

Wait for the web enhancement article to come out, adding spells from the Spell Compendium to non-core classes. Until then, unless your DM lets you go offlist, you're out of luck. It's kinda like being at the top of the pay scale for your job class in state employment when it comes time for a raise. :weep:
