Contagious Touch [Archive] - Wizards Community

Contagious Touch from the Complete Divine book is the same spell, but renamed, as Contagion from the Players Handbook?

If this is right, does anyone know where I can find out why the name change?

Could not find it in the Complete Divine or maybe just missed it.

contagion targets only one creature, the victim
contagious touch, the caster is the target and he can give the disease to a different victim each round, for 1 round per level.

I noticed the diseases were the same, I did not notice the target difference.
