in a warm discution about magic item crafting and rules with a friend
we came across a big dilema contingency can be put in an magic object or not...as an exemple if a priest craft an amulet with contingency ....when i m hit cast heal...by using the MGB continuous cast a contingency that suppose to cost around 42 000gp spell lvl 6 caster lvl 12 x2000 /2 because duration 24 hour and more since contingency last until discharged ...maybe i m wrong with the spell lvl i dont have a book close to me atm =) so following these rule that character is suppose to have a wonderful healing back up ... so crafting this is possible ?

light me please on contengency use and item craft plz

thank you

You *can* use it. but the duration element will not discount it. The duration of contingency *is* the beenfit of the spell. Want a contingent magic item? Pay through the nose.

(It is better to simply craft the item to be use activated. As long as you have not died, you're good. But be sure to check with your DM on a use-activated healing item. An intelligent one will be very careful in *if* it is allowed and how it is priced.)
