| DudeMan10104-15-04, 10:10 PM | I, with my Craft Wondrous Item feat, want to craft an amulet that will grant continous Prestidigitation. According to the Rules of Item Price Estimation 3.0, the market price would be: .5 (for a 0th-level spell) x 1 (caster level) x 2,000 (For Use-Activated. You use it by wearing it) = 1,000 gp BUT, I want it to not accualy take up my amulet slot, so it's all x2 for: 2,000 gp market price, or 1,000 gp and 80 xp to craft. Is that right? I'm not sure if Use-activated is the right thing to use for continous. And, the part where it says that continous items are calculated as having 100 charges, that only applies to material component costs and XP, so if I wanted a Ring of Infinate Wishes, I'd need to spend as much XP as it would take to cast Wish 100 times, right? One last thing: Am I correct in thinking that the armor bonus on magic armor is an Enchantment bonus, which thus stacks with Bracers of Armor? Because I'm thinking that perhaps I can enchant my tunic (a masterwork version, accualy) with a +5 armor bonus, treating the tunic as being armor with +0 AC, unlimited Dex bonus, no armor check penalty, and 0% arcanse spell failure. |

One last thing: Am I correct in thinking that the armor bonus on magic armor is an Enchantment bonus, which thus stacks with Bracers of Armor? No. The magical 'plus' on armor is an enhancement bonus to the armor bonus the armor provides. So full plate +5 provides a +13 armor bonus. Bracers of armor +8 provide a +8 armor bonus. They overlap. |
