| Ascian03-19-04, 03:11 PM | I'm in a campaign with a Doppelganger character, and this ability is giving us headaches all around. Specifically, when it comes to Will saves. How often do people have to make them? Can he effectively 'recast' the ability each round, forcing people to make ten saves per minute (at DC 13 in a lvl 15 party, he doesn't succeed much)? If not, how long should he wait between attempts? What about if he swivels the cone away and then back again? I just want to cut down on all the dice-rolling. Any suggestions? |

Yup. Originally posted by Ascian What about if he swivels the cone away and then back again? I'm inclined to say no, as that wouldn't work with the spell. Or go to any of the millions of web logs and download a few pages of random rants. The next time the doppelganger starts doing this, begin reading the blog. Every time he does this, read another blog. Eventually, the person playing the doppelganger will learn to use this more selectively. Or the other players will smack him upside the head for you. If you are *a player* but not the one with the doppelganger, offer these suggestions to the DM. It is as bad as a Paladin that does detect evil as the party walks though town. |
