Does Corrupt Spell increase the DC of a saving throw since it is now being prepared in a higher spell slot? Can you add Heighten Spell to it as well to futher increase the spell's DC?

I'm trying to get see if I can get Spell Focus (Evil) to bump the DC in tandem with Heighten Spell.

No.

1) Heighten must be applied first, before other feats, and other feats raise the level.

2) Feats besides Heighten that require using a higher level do NOT affect the DC of spells.

Example.

An Empowered Heighten Fireball, cast using an 8th level slot.

Empowered is +2, so it was Heightened up to 6th level.

DC is based on a 6th level spell, damage is 50% higher than normal.

Lets keep in simple and talk apples to apples by sticking with the same metamagic feats.

Say we take charm person (1st level spell, dc 17)

Highten it to 5th (dc 21)

Corrupt it (requires 1 slot higher, thereby detracting 1 from the 5th level DC)

So in theory its DC is 20.

However, my PC has spell focus (evil) and greater spell focus (evil) bumping the total DC to 22 (for a 1st level spell in a 5th level slot).

IMO, this isn't looking very good. 4 feats for a +1 bump to the DC. Bleh!

Charm Person, Hightened to 5th level, would have the DC of a fifth-level spell (10 + 5 spell level + ability modifier + other.)

Adding Corrupt Spell (and I dont have my book here so Im taking your word that it is +1) would make this Heightened Charm Person use a sixth-level slot, but in all other ways (including DC) it would function like a level-five spell.

In your example, it looks like you are Heightening it to 4th, and then adding the Corrupt Spell metamagic, in which case the DC would equal (10 + 4 spell level + ability modifier + other.)

I can see that my example seemed a bit goofy. But you're example was exactly what I was trying to show and proves my point that they can both work on a spell at the same time.

Turns out this was all for nothing anyway as I'm not going to go with that feat chain. Too many feats for too little payoff. The reason I went with spell focus was because it was a prereq for Ur-Priest in Complete Divine. Instead I'm going to use the version shown in BoVD, which has slightly different feat prereqs.
