I'd like to create a magic item that works like the Phylactery of Undead Turning, but that is applicable to other turning checks as well (e.g. those available through the Air, Earth, Fire and Water domains). How should I modify the cost? I'm sorta assuming that it should be more expensive, but since I can't figure out how the Phylactery of Undead Turning's cost was calculated, I'm not sure how to modify that calculation.

In case it helps any, I saw in another thread that the Phylactery of Undead Turning, which gives a +4 level bonus on undead turning checks, seems to have its cost calculated as (level**2 + level + 2)*500.

Thanks!

It seems like only minimally more powerful than the Phylactery of Undead Turning, so I'm inclined to price it as something like (level**2 + 2*level + 2)*500, which would give:

2500: +1 level bonus to turning checks
5000: +2 level bonus to turning checks
8500: +3 level bonus to turning checks
13000: +4 level bonus to turning checks

Does that seem reasonable? It makes it slightly more expensive than the regular one, but not massively so...
