A PC of mine is trying to equip his mage....

He wants a Helm of Brillance with just the gems, 10, 20, 30, 40.

No undead effects, no greater fire resistance, no ability to make flaming weapons......and no chance to blow up.

Just a helm that has 100 nifty spell charges....

Anyone?

Thanks,

I'd price it as a number of individual wands, each with the appropriate number of charges. So, the cost of spell 1 x (10/50) + cost of spell 2 x (20/50) and so forth. I wouldn't multiply by 1.5 for "multiple abilities" because the helm is taking up a body slot, which wands don't usually do.

Not sure what would cost enough. The 7th lvl spell has a DC20, and the 3rd lvl spell also has DC20.

so the math would by 375 x (7x13x10/50+5x9x20/50+5x9x30/50+3x5x40/50) or total of 28,200gp?

Well, if they're going to have a DC of 20, you need to heighten all the spells to 7th level.

So... 375x(7x13x10/50+7x13x20/50+7x13x30/50+7x13x40/50)=68250.

And dont't forget that wands normally can only be used by a spellcaster.

The ability for any one that does not have the spell on their list to use them is valuable
