10-24-04, 09:49 AM Ok, I've searched the DMG errata, the FAQ, this forum as well as doing a search and re-reading the spell description, but for some reason I cannot find why there is no Alter Self scroll available to be purchased and what the cost of that scroll would be. I'm talking about buying the scroll, not scribing it. If anyone could help me out, I'd appreciate it.

10-24-04, 10:44 AM Right, except for Arcane Lock (175 gp) and Continual Flame (200 gp). So, since Alter Self (strangely) isn't specifically listed, I didn't want to just assume it was 150 gp. I was hoping it was something that mistakenly was left out and someone had a definitive price for it.

10-24-04, 10:50 AM Arcane lock and continual flame have material components costing in excess of 1 gp. That's why they cost more; a scroll's creator pays the materials cost herself. Otherwise, the price of a 2nd-level spell scroll is 150 gp.

10-25-04, 10:09 AM Not all the possible scrolls are on the random-generation list, for reasons understood only by our friends at WOTC. Their method of selection does seem kind of -- pardon the pun -- random.
