my point is because of the spell Arcane Turmoil (CM) it only allows a targeted dispel on a person

Would it be a valid option for conterspell
If not
what kind of Dispel magic we use in a conterspell??

03-24-08, 12:51 PM im not familiar with the spell in question, however, from how you explained, i would say no.

Dispel magic has one of three uses. Targetted dispel, area dispel, or counterspell. If the spell allows you to use a "targetted dispel" then it can only do what a targetted dispel can do. A counterspell using dispel is its own use of the spell, not a variation on the "targetted dispel" use.
