Can you do it with spells that require an attack roll and do damage? It says they are concidered to be weapons for various feats and class abilities, so can it be applied to a coup de gras?

Yes, you can use weapon-like spells for a CdG. Rays and Energy Missles are both valid weapons for a CdG, you just treat them like a crossbow for CdG purposes (meaning you have to be right next to them, firing point blank, etc).

Would it still be a full round action if the spell has a casting time of 1 standard action? I would imagine yes.

I think it'd also provoke two separate AoOs from anything with Combat Reflexes - one for casting the spell, and one for making the CdG.

Of course seeing their face when you auto-crit a disintegrate might be worth it. I mean sure they get a save which if they succeed does only 10d6 plus instant death but for that off chance of 40d6 plus instant death makes it all worth while.

No single character can make more than one AoO against a single foe in a round (assuming non-epic play).

Combat Reflexes and Additional Attacks of Opportunity: If you have the Combat Reflexes feat you can add your Dexterity modifier to the number of attacks of opportunity you can make in a round. This feat does not let you make more than one attack for a given opportunity, but if the same opponent provokes two attacks of opportunity from you, you could make two separate attacks of opportunity (since each one represents a different opportunity).

smrt, you were right in 3.0 but not in 3.5 as the quote above illustrates.
