Okay - debating on changing the Eberron campaign I'm currently running to a Mark of Heroes game.

As I've discussed in RPGA General,it looks like it has to be a Mark of Heroes game for RPGA sanction.

The problem is, half of my party have characters that they apparently can't play without campaign cards - my wife's House Phiarlan dragonmarked bard, and my only regular player's kalashtar psion.

So, if I keep the campaign as it is, I won't be able to sanction it, and the RPGA members making noises about joining don't, and I don't have enough people for a game. If I go to Mark of Heroes, I screw over two players, one of whom I'm married to - not to mention that their characters are interesting, and I look forward to seeing how they turn out.

I am open to suggestions as to how to resolve this. My next session isn't until the second week of March, so I have a little time.

You're kind of stuck, to be honest.

Not everything that's legal in a home game is going to be legal in an RPGA campaign, anyway.

It may be possible to find the Campaign Cards in question on eBay or elsewhere (gawd knows I've sold off a lot of my Eberron-specific cards there, as I don't play Mark of Heroes).

Well, it's not like a normal campaign will shudder under the munchkiny power of the Least Mark of Shadow, not to mention the favored class for kalashtar.

But, hey, Ebay - hadn't thought of that.

Out of curiosity, do you know which cards you're looking for? Someone on this list might be able to help, too.

Apparently Mrs. needs "Heir of Life or Dusk" and my kalashtar player needs "People of Mind, Matter, and Radiance".

Sorry, can't help you there, don't have either one.

Why don't you just sanction the game by ordering the Home Campaign (Eberron) placeholder in the database along with the MoH adventure, play the MoH adventure, and then report play under the Home Campaign (Eberron) and deactivate the MoH?

You can still run the adventure, you'll just have to do a little DM footwork to figure out xp and gold.

It would allow you to keep your regular Eberron campaign intact, run MoH adventures, still sanction play, and would be easier than chasing down all the cards and trying to shoehorn everything to fit into the MoH campaign.

Heir of Life or Dusk was Promo 2. Tough card to find right now. Not as hard as Promo 3, but still a tough card to get.

People of Mind, Matter, and Radiance is fairly easy to get thanks to it being released in both sets 1 and 2. It will usually show up on eBay pretty frequently.

If you do decide to convert to MoH completely, keep in mind that your players will get more action points if they have campaign cards. If you decide to get these two cards, you may as well pool some cash together and get a couple of sets of cards from eBay. They allow you to do some pretty cool things in the game other than add a d6 to a roll.

I refer you to the "Okay, I'll bite, where's the FAQ" thread in RPGA General, wherein it is decided that, because I run the game at a FLGS that helpfully advertises my game on their event calendar and website it fails the "private venue" test for a Home campaign.

That said, I'm looking at getting a set of cards on eBay - but the $50+ cost is not trivial. Still, I have some time and another paycheck before I need to come to a decision, so we'll see what happens.
