Okay heres one I havent been able to figure out. The Warforged Juggernaut Prestige class which as far as i can tell is available for use. It uses a D12 for hitdice along with the racial substitution levels for the warforged fighter that also use a D12 for hit dice. how many HP do you get from the D12 for mark of Heroes play

8, the same as all other classes with a D12 hit die. Says so in the Campaign Standards.

What I can't figure out is why they give the D12 guys an extra hit point over the 1/2 hit die + 1 formula and give the D4 guys a hit point less....

The formula they use is half your hit points plust 1/3 half your hit points rounded down (there's probably an easier way to calculate it, but this formula works just fine). I think the reason they do that is because if they used your formula, a wizard would have one less hit point then a rogue or a ranger. Since that rarely happens in game play, I don't see any problem with wizards getting only two hit points at each level. In fact, I think it's a pretty fair distribution.
