| clem11-08-05, 07:13 PM | A shame the DM mark expired before the end of October. It would have been nice to have that option for D&D Worldwide Gameday. |
| CyberGaston11-09-05, 12:17 AM | Please... oh please RPGA, if you can't provide us enough adventure each month at least give us some DM's Mark that we can do our own !! :nonono: |
| Shadowed Intent11-09-05, 07:44 PM | Please... oh please RPGA, if you can't provide us enough adventure each month at least give us some DM's Mark that we can do our own !! I completely agree. Please, a DM's Mark every month. I would like to offer a suggestion. Perhaps the DM's Mark could be a place holder (similar to the home games placeholder) and then make a list of story objects available to be used in the DM's Mark. Occassionally new story objects could be released. (every 3-4 months maybe?) On a different note. When I realized how much my players enjoyed meeting people from previous adventures. I've used the DM's Marks to make an incidental encounters into their own adventures later. I find the cinematic aspect of this quite fitting with the Eberron concept. I have found that it affects their roleplaying in a postive manner. Now they never know when someone will show up again, so they tend to be more traditionally diplomatic as opposed to aggressively diplomatic. :D |
| ShadeMoon6411-10-05, 01:45 AM | Okay, so bad enough that no October DM's Mark was ever released...does anyone know if there are plans for a November one? - Andy AMEN BROTHER! It would seem in their interest to keep a DM's Mark available at all times, espesially if there is no regular adventure posted. |
| CrimsonTemplar11-10-05, 12:55 PM | More DM's Marks would rock. I love being able to whip up a mod on the fly based around a couple of salient points. My players and I had a blast playing the last one with the Kreature Katalog...I'm spoiling for the next one. I'd like to know where the DMs Toolkit is too. |
| Sijal11-14-05, 02:28 PM | Please o' please give us a DM's mark... or even a couple... |
| TimRat11-14-05, 04:35 PM | again i will check later today at whats going to be done. i wish there was one too LOL |
| Sijal11-14-05, 05:03 PM | Thanks Tim =) |
| TimRat11-15-05, 05:44 PM | ok basically EMH11 is probably repeat probably going to come out at WF in february. there will be dm's mark but dont expect one till after the thanksgiving holiday (socal starts tomorrow). things are real busy at HQ so thats why a bunch of stuff is having been delayed. |
| Sijal11-15-05, 06:24 PM | Hey, After thanksgiving, I can do. Good info, thanks alot. This also explains why my questions to the emails have gone unanswered. Hopefully my request for more applications isn't delayed too much. |
| AnonyCon.com11-17-05, 03:47 PM | Such a good idea. Such bad execution. Can the RPGA solicit some help in making the whole Mark of Heroes concept actually work? It is so hard to just play some games! |

It's not a question of soliciting help; plenty of people have already volenteered to help and been denied. The RPGA sees the D&D Campaigns system as an entirely centralized campaign, and the problem with that is that it's a single point of failure. Andrew Beard |
| DmofAlterak12-12-05, 06:19 PM | I do not know what Dm mark is but hi. |
| CyberGaston12-12-05, 10:17 PM | DM's Mark is an adventure that the DM create but as a part of the Eberron Mark of Heroes Campaign. It seems like there won't be one in december and I hope there won't be one in january because, home play has enough module (3) to play that month. But a DM's Mark in Febuary would be cool. I know that nobody is listening to what we say here but I take the chance anyway... |
| grahamdrew12-12-05, 10:31 PM | Well, I hate to throw more **** on a big **** pile, but if Feburary is the next DM's Mark, what's the chance that it'll be a Winter Fantasy exclusive (like the GenCon exclusive)? Andrew Beard |
| Herrbard12-13-05, 06:50 AM | Yes, there will be a Winter Fanatsy DM Mark. It is offered in every slot of the convention. I'll be running one on Saturday night if anyone wants to come and play. :) |
| Mike Czaplinski12-13-05, 12:48 PM | So, no DM's Mark since October, eh? And with WOTC pretty much out on vacation in the month of December, and WF coming up in early '06, its not likely we'll see anything before February or March. Not to mention the skipping around of the release of EMH adventures. I completely see how this is consistant with the RPGA mission statement (from www.rpga.com): The RPGA is the roleplaying arm of organized play at Wizards of the Coast dedicated to providing play opportunities and support for Dungeons & Dragons and other d20 System games. And to think at one time I was looking foward to Mark of Heroes. Still: its a nice 'play once a year whether you need to or not' sort of campaign...... MikeC |

Not to mention the skipping around of the release of EMH adventures. Considering there are 3 scenarios available in January, I am not sure whether or not there is a problem waiting until March. Besides, the DMs Mark for WF last year did became available for public play as did one in the summer (though whether it was for GenCon or Origins I have no clue). I will have difficulties getting to play all these three games. Then again, I don't treat any of the RPGA games as a replacement for a home campaign - for that I prefer my own adventures. I see them as a nice way to play with my other friends once in a while so I will admit I have a different view on things. If I have one complaint about the DM's Marks, it is that there is no good warning beforehand. It is really irritating that if you check once or twice per month for new adventures, to suddenly learn there is a Mark of Heroes scenario available for the coming 4 weeks and knowing that it is impossible to find time with all players available in that same time period... |

I have to disagree with you on this one. First, anyone who was at Origins and Gencon has already played all the currently available adventures, so by March it'll be about 5 months since they'll have had a MOH module to play. Hopefully, they'll be able to make it to Winter Fantasy, or it'll be a very long drought for them. Also, the DMs Marks that were available at WF and Gencon were not made available for public play, they just released another DMs mark shortly after each. If you were to look at each DMs Mark, the numbers are different. Well, it's been over two weeks since Thanksgiving, so I'm guessing we might have a new DM's Mark available by Feburary! Timrat, think you can look into this once more and see what the holdup is? |
| csteinhoff01-03-06, 07:32 PM | So it sounds like the DMs mark is not avaliable every month like the web site says....Then change the website. Doh...I like this campaign (sort of) by the amount of materail really sucks. I thought that the DM 's mark would help but they don't lease them. Why?????????? |

Possibly because the copious staff that might be working on updating the DM's Mark generic boilerplate text has been tasked with making a new D&D campaign, Xen'Drik Expeditions. Oh my: and this new campaign just HAPPENS to have THE SAME SETTING as D&D Online! What a happy coincidence! Must make for some INTERESTING marketing synergies..... MikeC, who hasn't ever played an MMORPG, and certainly won't start now..... |
| Shadowed Intent01-08-06, 12:56 AM | Definitely slow going, however January is the big month for MoH home play. 3 new scenarios is wild, I don't think my group really believed me when I toId them we would be playing MoH for 3 weeks in a row. Now, if only a DM's mark would come out, we could have a MoH scenario for play every week. I think that would be wild. I am not gonna hold my breath waiting for it though. I won't be surprised if this is the last MoH we'll have available to play until summer. (Unfortunately since none of us ever get to cons, I'm not counting the DMs mark at WF or the extended premeires) That may make a nice break from our regular FR campaign. |
| dzdinmb01-18-06, 07:31 PM | Three MoH mods available for home play in one month. Excuse me well I yawn. I don't run MoH for home play. I run Retail/Gamedays so that as many people as possible can play them. When I mention to the regular players that I will be running another game, they are estatic as they like the campaign. That is utill I tell them that it is a mod they played months ago as that is when he last one came out. As a marketing tool to promote the Eberron Campaign setting, MoH is a complete failure. Well I and the players I in my games like the style of the campaign and the flavour of the mods, there is not enough of a campaign to keep them interested. It was stated earlier on this forum that there would be a DM's Mark after thanksgiving. Well it is mid January and still no DM's Mark. Now it is been said that the next DM's Mark will be at WF, and that that one might not be releasedafterwards... I would like one question answered. Why should anyone invest their time and effort into playing an RPGA HQ driven campain like LothGR or MoH if the RPGA is not willing to invest either? If the RPGA does not have the resources to complete one campaign before they start on another, then don't even bother. ...cd |
