| ShadeMoon6411-10-05, 02:01 AM | Has anyone heard anything about the revised Campaign Standards? Currently posted version 1.2 is over 5 months old and doesn't cover the level bump at Gen Con. I would expect the RPGA to have it's act together better than this as they decide when to bump levels not some outside force. If they weren't ready for the Gen Con kick then don't do it OR don't announce the bump until the standards are ready. |

Unfortunately the RPGA doesn't appear to have learned anything from the problems they had with Green Regent. Ed |

| Tiberien11-11-05, 01:53 PM | I "heard" something about the new CS around the new year. Note that that's only a rumor. I'm not saying I've actually seen them or anything, lol. ;) You don't really need a new CS to handle level bumps though, imo. Just level up to 4 character levels if you're character is new to the campaign. It would be nice to have new expanded source lists though. |

It would be nice to have new expanded source lists though. The expanded list is my biggest complaint. Is "Races of Eberron" part of the base rules or not? My players just hit 5th level and want to know if the options presented in that book need to be added to expansion lists or not. I have no good answer for them. Of course, if the RPGA says they are waiting for this book or that to come out before they update the standard then there will always be "just one more in the works" and nothing will happen. Are they waiting for: Magic of Eberron? it's out. Races of Eberron? it's out. Explorer's Handbook? it's out. Five Nations? it's out. City of Towers? it's out. Spell Compendium? it's out. Magic of Incarnum? it's out. GenCon Indy? over. GenCon SoCal? over. Winter Fantasy? maybe...but why? Player's Guide to Eberron? maybe... Is the delay due to staffing issues? I would think there would be plenty of members willing to help out in any way possible to improve the campaign. Where do I sign up? |

They're on the secondary source list, and anything from them needs to be added to a character's expansion list if they don't have a campaign card that unlocks it. The only books that are core are the three standard 3.5 books and the Eberron Campaign Setting, and that's not likely to change. That said, you're right about the other books. My group has held off buying any other Eberron material until it becomes MoH legal. Andrew Beard |
| Mike Czaplinski12-12-05, 11:16 AM | Considering that the last MoH rounds I played were Winter Fantasy 2005, and it is most likely that the next rounds I play will be at Winter Fantasy 2006, It hardly matters to me (or to any number of people who had been looking foward to an Eberron-based RPGA campaign) whether the CS docs are up to date or not. If they can't be bothered to release DM's Marks (which are nothing more than boilerplates) on time, how can they be disappointed when the campaign gets no play? MikeC |
