| Herrbard03-03-06, 06:48 AM | No idea when they go to the web. The HQ staff at Winter Fantasy had hard copies for use at the convention last week, but I hear they have an inside source... ;) |
| DBlizzard03-03-06, 10:55 PM | Anybody have any idea when the fastplays will be up?I have a retail session next Tuesday and I like to keep them handy in case a new player shows up without a character.Based on past history, it'll probably be a while (indeed, they still haven't gotten 75% of the characters up for the last bump). My recommendation would be to find the War Drums figures that are fastplay characters and have them available. It's not a complete character sheet, but probably enough to get by for a session. |
| Shadowed Intent03-05-06, 07:41 PM | I just level up the fast play characters. I leveled them up myself and have the character sheets on hand for player's to use. I use the particulars from the level kick, (I haven't done 7th level and 18,000 gp as of yet). A nice benefit is that once you make them up, you don't have to worry about changing them often. I would like to note, these characters DO NOT QUALIFY for "taking one for the team." |
| Borris03-09-06, 11:11 PM | According to the Wardrums cards, the new 7th-level fastplay characters are: Combat Medic Human Cleric 5 / Combat Medic 2 Warforged Bodyguard Warforged Fighter 7 Halfling Sniper Halfling Rogue 7 I'm surprised there's no Mark of Heroes wizard in the set, though, since you'd need all four base classes in case you have to "take one for the team." |
| DBlizzard03-10-06, 02:31 PM | I'm surprised there's no Mark of Heroes wizard in the set, though, since you'd need all four base classes in case you have to "take one for the team."I think the idea is to try to stop them from flooding the market. Remember, according to the campaign standards we have 20 different fastplay characters available. Unfortunately, the RPGA staff doesn't seem aware that we actually need them to run events sometimes. The only ones with even partial 7th level stats are the ones in War Drums, and then only if you use the cards. I'm running a Mark of Heroes event tomorrow and I'm going to be spending my time creating possible fastplay characters tonight instead of actually preparing for the adventure like I should be. |
| D_karr03-13-06, 12:45 PM | Looks like the Fastplay characters have been finally uploaded. Unfortunately you have to resort to the miniatures cards for those from Wardrums and Underdark. |
| CyberGaston03-13-06, 02:54 PM | yeah that's a bummer. I've check on the card and there isn'nt much info. And could someone tell me what a "Standard Adventurer pack" or "Standard Backpack" contains and where we can get that information ? |
| grahamdrew03-13-06, 07:13 PM | Aren't the Underdark cards written up for 4th level characters? Andrew Beard |
| DBlizzard03-13-06, 07:19 PM | Looks like the Fastplay characters have been finally uploaded. Unfortunately you have to resort to the miniatures cards for those from Wardrums and Underdark.Of course, the campaign standard's state:The current fastplay characters are listed below with their corresponding miniature. The character sheet for each fastplay character can be found on the RPGA website or on the back of the corresponding miniatures card.It then lists all 20 of the fastplay characters. Does this mean that you have to use the Deathknell & Angelfire fastplay characters at their miniature card level? I can understand not wanting to update all 20 characters to 7th level. However, they could at least edit them out of the campaign standards document if they aren't going to support them. |
| DBlizzard03-13-06, 07:21 PM | And could someone tell me what a "Standard Adventurer pack" or "Standard Backpack" contains and where we can get that information ? :confused:I don't think they've said. I found a website that lists: # backpack # bedroll # blanket, winter # candles (3) # chalk (3 pieces) # flint and steel # pouch, belt # rations, trail (7 days) # rope, hemp (50') # torch # traveller's outfit # waterskins (3) I think that's reasonable, and would use that (with minor variations allowed);. |
| CyberGaston03-13-06, 08:07 PM | Ok thanks DBlizzard !! I'll use that list if the need arise ! |
| Borris03-13-06, 09:40 PM | Aren't the Underdark cards written up for 4th level characters? Yes. All three Mark of Heroes from Underdark are 4th-level on the D&D side and therefore not useable since the latest level kick. As for the "standard backpack", there's no mention of it anywhere on the D&D website. And I doubt something with three waterskins represents what a standard adventurer would carry. Good thing the Digger's Union usually equips its adventurers with a full bag of standard adventuring gear at the start of each mission. |
