| D'Mar06-05-05, 11:15 PM | How much does it cost to buy a Potion of cure light wounds in the mark of heroes game if you buy it in the game with your cash on hand? Can a first level character buy a potion of cure light wounds in his starting cash? Is a potion considered a magic item by the rules of mark of heroes? (I know they are in D&D 3.5 but ....) |
| pedr06-06-05, 06:45 AM | And to add to this ... can a first level character buy a potion of cure light wounds *at all*? Or do they have to wait until second level? Rather deadly for a party without a cleric, I'd have thought! |

The only characters who can buy magic items at first level are characters with an item creation feat, which limits them to scrolls. Even then, it's only items they can create. If a wizard wants a first level scroll, it has to be a spell in his spellbook (or he couldn't have created it).l |

I guess the 'take one for the team' option helps if a table gets together without a cleric, but still! Yes, this is pretty much the way LGR worked. The biggest difference is that LGR allowed access to some potions/scrolls/wands/etc. at first level through the PCs starting region. That is gone in MoH. Ed |
