| SwordDancer05-07-06, 12:06 PM | Where are these located? The certs are online now, or so I've heard, but I have no idea where and neither does my table's GM. I'm presuming since I haven't seen anyone else asking this question that you must all know. |
| pedr05-07-06, 01:09 PM | I'm not sure we do know - we're just figuring it out too :D The theory, as far as I understand it, is this: the adventure module (or DM's Mark packet) will contain the text of the 'story object' (cert) and a unique code. When reporting, the session DM needs to indicate on the tracking form which (if any) of the certs each PC gained. This is then entered into the system when the session is reported. You probably knew that - just wanted it there for completeness! When you go to the character tracker in the members' area of the RPGA site, you can click a link which says 'dispay certification' or something like that. That will list the codes of the certs your character has, but not the text. Apparently, the text will be printed out when you choose the print character record option - but as I don't have a character with any certs at the moment, I can't check that. A wise move would be to get your DM to read out the code and text of the certs he's giving you and write them down, just in case! |
| Madfox1105-08-06, 04:14 AM | Pedr is correct. Note thought that there have been problems with fitting the whole text in the database (and not due to the RPGA) which is why some appear to be cut-off midway. |
| drDRFAUSTUS05-09-06, 06:05 PM | Has any one DMed or reported May's DM's Mark? I tried to put the cert code into the cert box, but received the following error after I submitted the session: Cert code does not exist with scenario1 I had the correct session and scenario listed. I was using the cert code from the May's DM's Mark packet. I tried some variations of the code, but still did not get the cert to stick. I emailed RPGASANCTIONING. Let's see what happens. |
| SwordDancer05-09-06, 11:10 PM | Great. Looks like I'm going to need to buy a printer. |

Same problem here. In addition I think I have figured out why there is a problem. The cert ID #'s are the same ones that were used in the April DM's Mark packet. :lightbulb Tilloch |
| Redbeard8805-17-06, 08:30 PM | Here is the message I sent to rpgasanctioning. NO answer as of yet. To Whom It May Concern, I've had difficulty reporting the Eberron: Mark of Heroes May DM's Mark digital Story Objects, specifically the Landed Title, and have found that the Object ID numbers are the same numbers used in April DM's Mark. The result is I cannot report this scenario correctly. Will you please e-mail me the correct Object ID numbers for the Mark of Heroes May DM's Mark? Any help would be greatly appreciated! |
| pedr05-17-06, 09:06 PM | I played the DM's Mark last weekend and should have received this story object but it seems that the Senior DM decided that the way to get around this problem was simply not to put the code in. Now I'm not sure what the situation is: I can probably get hold of the text of the Story Object, but do I have it? Or not? If this is fixed at any point will it be possible for the RPGA to add it to my character tracker? Will I just have to try to convince any subsequent judge that I have the cert? Or should I assume that I don't? |
| Kelvane05-17-06, 11:36 PM | I wouldn't count on them fixing it in your character tracker.I made a mistake when I reported EMH-10 and my groups are not showing the story objects.I have sent multiple e-mails to hq to try and get this corrected for them. But have not heard anything and my groups still are not showing the story objects, which isn't a problem locally but it might be at a con like Gen Con. |
