I'm something at a loss at how MoH modules have been released. I have a second level character who I'd like to run through as many of the modules as possible. However, the release of EMH-3 and EMH-4 both come right on the verge of a level bump that will leave them unplayable for campaign use. This is particularly frustrating given the relative dry spell over the past six months of the campaign.

While I like the flavor of the setting, I'm afraid that this doesn't look like something I can play casually. I get perhaps one weekend a month to go out and join my local club's game day to play. Regrettably, I missed my chance to play EMH-4 this month and the club doesn't organize a game day for August. So, unless I manage to find a willing DM, I'm going to miss out on these adventures.

I'm not writing this for a shoulder to cry on. I just wanted to bring up some concerns that the Mark of Heroes campaign is targetting only those players who game regularly and have the luxury of flying across the country to attend conventions. Unfortunately, more casual players are getting left out.

Mark of Heroes is in a bit of an odd position, because though you say it's targeted at people who game regularly it's releases come so erratically that it's hard to get a regular game of Mark of heroes set up. It's not like Living Force (or any of the Living games) where there is a good deal of content and you can set up a weekly or bi-weekly game, because you never know if you're going to end up in a time period where there aren't any mods available (which happens pretty frequently). Trying to schedule MoH becomes a nightmare unless you're willing to drop everything and have a group with a lot of free time.

It's really too bad too, because it seems like MoH has thus far avoided a lot of the issues I had with Legacy of the Green Regent. The module timing is really inexcusable at this point, when modules are not only released in little semblence of order but expire with little order as well. I'm really wondering what's going to heppen when we start having level bumps and some people have played before the bump but others after.

I know exactly what you mean. It's nearly impossible to get these things ordered and scheduled when you've got a one month "window" and it's not even listed on the RPGA web site until just before that. The DM's Marks have been even worse, considering that the GM has to write them him/herself. I can't imagine that I'll be able to even run one for August, with Gen Con taking up most of my attention this month and it not being available for order, even now.
