Does anyone want to venture a guess as to when we'll see another update to the Campaign Standards for MoH that will allow more secondary sources (Magic of Eberron, Explorer's, Player's guide to, etc)? There is a lot of great material in there that could be used. One player in particular, a bard, is literally drooling over Magic of Eberron for the Clotheir's Closet spell and the Elemental Scion of Zilargo.

I don't believe that anyone really knows for sure when the new Campaign Guidelines will be up. They've already been promised so many times that any quote of dates would be suspect. I've still been waiting for them to update it so that I could play a Magic of Incarnum character through the new Creation Card, but can't since it references the upcoming document for the specific rulings.

I would assume that a new version would be released in time for Winter Fantasy. But with it being later than usual this year, who knows just when that will be.

Tha next set of campaign standards will be available as soon as the next seven book suppluments are out. By then, nobody will care, and the Campaign setting will be gone, and we'll be on the next three "New wave" d20 worlds that WoTC and Hasbro feel they need to push.

What I don't get is that they spend soooo much time and effort on
the bleedin' Reward Cards to make them ONLY usable in Mark of
Heroes, and yet they can't seem to be bothered to come out with
monthly DM's Mark adventures (which should be the easiest in the
world to come up with), let alone any real adventures.

They've been through a level bump in the campaign, and couldn't
be bothered to have a new CS document, or even to post updated
Fast Play characters on the website.

And WOTC wonders why people think the RPGA is a joke (except
for LG, which isn't run by WOTC directly, anyway).

Well, it is, actually. LG is one of the four RPGA campaigns (the others being Mark of Heroes, Green Regent, and Living Force) that is directly run by the RPGA.

The difference between LG (and LF) and the D&D Campaigns is that the D&D Campaigns are directly administered by RPGA HQ, while LG and LF are largely run by volunteer campaign administrators.

Then, beyond those, you have the "member-enabled" campaigns (Living Arcanis, Living Kingdoms of Kalamar, Living Spycraft, Living Death), which are run by third parties (other game companies in the first three cases, volunteers for Living Death), and really only rely on the RPGA for distribution of their modules.

Still, I think your point is valid...it's sad that the campaigns that RPGA HQ directly runs themselves wind up being the most disjointed and least able to get their act together.

Well then, that begs the question of why doesn't the RPGA accept volunteers for help with their campaigns the way other campaigns do? I for one wouldn't mind helping out here and there if it really did help them.

There is a difference organizationally between the Living Campaigns and the D&D Campaigns. Primarily, the obvious difference is the "D&D Campaigns" are for campaign worlds that WotC is actively supporting.

I'll wager a large reason for this is because WotC doesn't want a group of volunteers dealing with things that could potentially be considered "canon" and might contradict an upcoming product.

I do find it rather surprising there is no update to the MoH Campaign Standards by now. Looking through the list of products and the date of the level kick one would think some of these things would be included and updated by now.

The Level Kick happened in August and yet the campaign standards has no information about this or how it is used, applied for new characters and players. There have been books such as the Explorers Handbook and Magic of Eberron released now for several months and you would think they would be drawn in as additional optional materials for character's to use in expanding their characters. A couple months delay in updating the information is one thing but the level kick in August is almost half a year ago now.

There will be another level kick at Winter Fantasy. Hopefully, the updated campaign standards will be released by then (last weekend of February).

 Does anyone have more information about this from a CONFIRMABLE source? How much of a bump? and will the legendary Campaign Standards Update reflect it or just the Level 4 bump?

Hi

And what about us in UK - I gaming at Conception next week. I'm currently lvl 5 (after level bump). So if I level to 6th, (after Conception), will I level to 7th?
Is the Recaster PrC available in MoH?
What is the future (if any) of MoH?
Lastly, if MoH is so popular in US, as we're told, (no Saarbreenar), why can't they just sort out regions like in LG, provide/support loads modules in US, then let us in UK play as 'out of region' characters? (Like in LG).

WotC are still supporting the genre, with all these new books, so why aren't they backing that up with a viable living campaign? Wasted advertising/sale opportunity!
