Am I to understand that with the changing of the RPGA guard, MoH is coming to an abrupt end after MoH-15?

 Not that I'm aware of. Who are you hearing this from?

I haven't heard anything official, but it's pretty much what everybody's expecting at this point.

The campaign has seen absolutely no activity since GenCon Indy. The last Special was run at Winter Fantasy 2006 (which still isn't showing up for my character). XMH-4 was canceled at GenCon Indy; GenCon SoCal seems to be rerunning the exact same events as GenCon Indy.

Considering the problems that plagued the campaign since the beginning, I really can't see Mark of Heroes "bouncing back" at this point, especially without SRM contributing.

We're seeing the symptoms of campaign zombification, a condition that Legacy of the Green Regent is still suffering from.

I would like to see a special that transitions you from MoH .. into Xen'Drix

moving all xp/gp over to the new campign.. ignoring level bumps from MoH... you would prob still be one of the highest lvl members of any faction.

Perhaps a good mod would be an adaptation of the PH2 mission(s) to change your race/class/etc...

Complete the mod.. and the xp/gp gets applied to a xendrix character..
.. and the MoH character is removed from campaign.

Or.. split the xp/gp four ways .. and add it to all 4 xendrix characters... (then its not such a huge bump)...

This is kinda a cool, but overall very bad idea. The D&D Campaigns system has one key difference between the Living campaign system; all characters are at "more or less" the same level. Adaptation for individual mods is on a much smaller scale. Any group of players can get together at a table, because there's no chance they are going to be at such different levels that the table isn't going to work. If MoH characters started converting to Xen'drik they'd entirely wreck the power curve. A group of two 1st level Xen'drik characters and three 10th (or higher) level Xen'drik character would be no fun.

Now, a special closeout mod for MoH that offered some limited benefit for a starting Xen'drik character would be kind of cool. Nothing game braking like an XP conversion, but some kind of lesser benefit (a 28 point build, for example). Ignoring certain key differences (XP conversion) Living Spycraft did something similar for completing thier Terrortory storyline. That I could get behind, but things being the way they are I can't expect it would ever happen with the D&D Campaigns system.

I'd just be happy to see some more MoH mods. Aside from all the "bugs", I really enjoy the campaign.

Here's what I've heard: Stephen MacPharland was the former Content Manager and was the one responsible for reviewing, editing, and publishing Mark of Heroes adventures. Since Stephen left Wizards, they've been down a Content Manager and so haven't had anyone to review, edit, or publish submissions. Meanwhile, for anyone who hasn't checked the RPGA website in a while, they've just hired a new Content Manager, named Chris Tulach, who I understand had his first day today. I'm sure that once GenCon SoCal is over, and Chris gets settled in, we'll start seeing new content for Mark of Heroes. Until then, I think we just need to wait and see what happens. After all, this isn't the first time that such a rumor has gone around about Mark of Heroes.

Hi

What's with all the hassle with MoH?

Only get a few games in, and those only at conventions. Now I'm 10th lvl!
Not surprising I've taken the uber munchkin route of Warmage/Recaster. (Usual Tensers' Disk & Leomunds' Tiny Hut for Advanced Learning. Debating which to take from PrC: Fly, Cures Serious, or Haste).
Something that would rightly be banned in LG.

Is MoH better supported over your side of the pond? (I live in UK). Personally I like the different flavour of the campaign. Same for Bright Lands in LG.

Cheers
