MoH XP from Origins not showing up? [Archive] - Wizards Community

This question was asked in the Xen'drik boards, and a satisfactory explanation was given. However, that does not explain why the Mark of Heroes events at Origins are not showing up in the character tracker. My daughters and I figure with that EV, we will be above the projected level bump for GenCon. (WooHoo, finally got there on our own!). Everything shows up in the activity page, and the reward points are there, but the character tracker does not show as having played the events. With GenCon a week away, we would like to know where we stand!

I still have that problem as of this evening (no character details posted for Origins modules), though the Level Kick is now showing.

Greetings...

OK. At the RPGA's request I am now re-entering all of the Xen'drik
sessions from Origins into a different convention order. The theory
is that by isolating just the Xen'drik sessions they will have an
easier time figuring out why the character tracking isn't working.

The other hope is that if the Xen'drik sessions in the main Origins
convention order are deactivated, that might allow the EMH sessions
to work correctly (i.e. update everybody's PC with the XP and EV and
story objects from the EMH adventures). No guarantees though... the
HQ folks are still working on the database.

So if you see your Xen'drik player / judge points from Origins
disappear, don't be alarmed, they'll be back. :)

Talk to you later --

Sean

Yeah, I got this notice too. I now have every event I played in at Origins listed FIVE times for reward points, but no love in the character tracker. And now the level bump has been added, so once again, I didn't get all the EV I should have before a level kick. But it's the only game in town...

So we keep on playin'!

I only had them showing up four times earlier today. Of course, I would be 11th level and finally been ahead of a level kick, if they'd got the two modules from Origins in the PC information. I'm 8,750 over the level kick EV.

This is the last straw. In two D&D campaigns, despite playing everything that is available I never have made it over a level kick. Never!!

Is that really surprising you? The reason for these level kicks is to keep all the PCs at an equal level so that (a) mustering tables is a lot easier and (b) the adventures do not have to be written for a wide range of levels. If you take those two reasons into account it stands to reason that gaining more levels than the bumb grants through playing is not an option. It would defeat the whole purpose of the level bumps. Considering my character was level 9 before the bump and I had not played 4 possible adventures (and had been 9th during 1 adventure) I probably would have reached level 10 had I played everything.

Much more irritating is the fact that they deleted an event I had ran 4 and 5 August but never had the time to book before now. I know xp and EV do not matter, but that is 12 player reward points and the players miss several story objects. Lets hope that those can be restored somehow...

Well, I've got a 12th level Artificer and my wife, who didn't play the WF Special or the DM's Mark there has been 10th for a couple of games now.

My EV is well above that of the bump and my wife's PC is above it by about 8 grand.

Also, many of the PCs in my usual group are 11th & 12th.

I was at 10th lv and 48000gp just before the level bump and had just played EMH09 ... and thought, "Hey, that is lv 11 and over 50000gp! Woohoo!"

I was wrong. If there is a way for the wizard's character tracker to stab you, it will. A special I played over six months ago disappeared from my c.t. the day the bump came into effect and at the time of this writing not only have my appeals be ignored or not dealt with, but the EMH09 table I played last month can't be reported because of the database problems they keep having.

Oy.

But, hey, its only a game.

Does anyone have any information about when these website problems are going to be fixed? Any estimations from those in the know?

Well, I've gone from the DM's Mark adventure I played in at Origins being listed 3, 5, 7, and 10 times then back to nothing again. Now I have an adventure named "Ancient Footprints" listed under my activity and still nothing listed for my MoH character.

So I googled "Ancient Footprints + RPGA" and it seems to be some sort of Living Death adventure. Swell.

Yep, that is what is showing up for the MoH games from Origins at the moment. This seems to be the only outstanding problem left from Origins to be fixed. It hosed a lot of people out of XP and gold they should have gotten before the level bump.

It is a known issue (my list shows me having judged "Ancient Footprints" three times; I actually judged two different MoH mods, and I've never even seen a game of Living Death! Although I have met Claire and Keith, who are wonderful people.)

According to M. Sean Molley's last update in early September, he is bugging HQ as much as possible without getting them totally ticked! Keep it up, Sean.
