Have a question re: the battlefist attached component. ECS, page 268, states that a "battlefist increases the damage dealt by the character's natural slam attack to 1d8 points of bludgeoning and piercing damage (assuming a Medium character)." A Medium warforged's natural slam attack deals 1d4 points of damage.

Also, the Improved Natural Attack feat states, "Choose one of the creature’s natural attack forms. The damage for this natural weapon increases by one step, as if the creature’s size had increased by one category: 1d2, 1d3, 1d4, 1d6, 1d8, 2d6, 3d6, 4d6, 6d6, 8d6, 12d6."

Given both of the above, if the warforged character takes the Improved Natural Attack feat, would that increase the damage dealt by the battlefist to 2d6? The statement, "(assuming a Medium character)", seems to imply that the battlefist increases the character's slam attack by two size steps. Improved Natural Attack would increase the "normal" slam attack from 1d4 to 1d6, so it seems the battlefist should increase the 1d6 to 2d6...

Thoughts?
