| Frobi-Wan Kenobi10-19-05, 03:20 PM | I just wanted to be sure that I wasn't missing anything - straight Artificers can in no way benefit from this card correct? |
| Valdin10-24-05, 12:36 PM | When I saw it, I was hopeful, but after reading it ... I agree with your assessment. Pure Artificers have zero use for this card. It affects arcane and divine caster scrolls and psionic power stones. Unfortunately, artificers are none of those. |
| Randall Montgomery10-25-05, 10:40 AM | I don't see why Artificers couldn't use this card. The card specifies Arcane and Divine SCROLLS, not casters. Since Artificers cast scrolls through UMD, I don't see why they couldn't use this card for any scroll, as long as they change it to a spell that is either arcane or divine that also appears on their spell list. |
| Frobi-Wan Kenobi10-25-05, 02:00 PM | But Artificers don't have spell lists - thus they have nothing to switch the scrolls to. |
| Skole Morgenrood10-26-05, 12:54 AM | As was anyone with the Use Magic Device skill. What of the high charisma changeling rogues? Personally, As it stands I think the card is unuseable by Artificers, howerever I would look at allowing an artificer or anyone else with UMD to exchange the original scroll for scrolls from the spell list the scroll originally came from. Scroll of Magic Missile? Use to exchange it for Sorcerer/Wizards spells. Only problem comes with spells that are on multiple spell list. If the character hasn't specified in advance what list his cure light comes from, he could exchange it for Druid or Cleric spells (assuming like I do you make the characters specify whether their spells are arcane or divine, and thus couldn't be a bard scroll) |
