Hello,

A few months ago, my self and 3 friends decided we were going to Origins this year. After getting all signed up, we decided to pre-register for soem events. We really wanted to play at least one D&D game while we were there, as part of our group did so years ago at some other convention and had a great time. Many of the adventures we looked at were full, but we found the Incident at Greywall at 8am on Saturday morning, and decided we'd do it.

At the time, none of us really realized this was an RPGA event and what that all entailed. We just wanted to role play once while there. Now as I am digging deeper into this, I am wondering if we are able to participate. None of us have ever played in an RPGA game before. None of us are familiar with Ebberon. Did we mess up big time registering for this, or can we fix this before we go play?

Thanks in advance. :)

Nope you didn't mess up big time!

While 'Incident at Greywall' is part of an on-going campaign it's also a completely stand-alone adventure which is suitable for newcomers to Mark of Heroes.

You do need to bring a character with you to play Mark of Heroes. While there are 'fastplay' characters available they aren't generally considered to be very well created and it's better to make your own, following the rules which are contained in the Mark of Heroes Campaign Standards, which are available from here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ebop/welcome

These aren't the most straight-forward of things to follow, so feel free to ask any questions you have here! The most obvious thing to notice is that you need to create a seventh level character, equipped with just over 18,000 gp worth of stuff.

Hope you enjoy it!
