| TimRat05-26-05, 07:15 PM | I have news that you should see the standards tomorrow and the rest of the things (maybe not #3) in the next week so everything should be fine. play on! |
| pedr05-27-05, 10:25 AM | That would be great! By #3 do you mean EMH-3, and if so, are you implying that EMH-4 will be released, along with a DM's Mark packet? I guess I should just be patient and see what happens, but I really like the idea of this campaign and would like to be at the forefront of establishing it in the UK, which will be difficult if it is so intermittent. |
| TimRat05-27-05, 03:48 PM | ya 3 i meant module 3. #4 should be coming out shortly as its going to be in the retailer packs. the june DM mark is available to order right now. beginning today the campaign should pick up as at least 6 adventures are coming out from now till august(gencon) and then also the DM's marks as well. |
| grahamdrew05-27-05, 08:50 PM | Thanks for the info, it's nice to see some info coming out for the campaign. Looking over the new campaign standards they mention the first level bump coming at Gencon Indy. Origins, which happens a month before hand, has 4th level mods on the schedule, though. At the moment it doesn't seem possible to have a 4th level character, even if you've played through all the MoH mods (three DMs Marks, two published mods, and the WF Special). Any chance you could chase this one down, TimRat? It seems like there was some miscommunication involved here, either on the part of the guys writing the Campaign Standards, the guys writing the blurbs for the Origins mods, whatever. Thanks. | pedr05-27-05, 09:03 PM | Thanks TimRat! Obviously we've all been waiting for this ... it's nice that it's finally arrived! A question just on the Yahoo! group which maybe you can clear up... the standards are clear that the level bump to 4th will take place at Gen Con Indy. However Origins is listing the blurb for EMH-5 and EMH-6 as optimized for 4th level characters. Is that right? and if so, well... how?! |
| JohnduBois05-27-05, 09:13 PM | One of my friends is DM'ing MoH at Origins, and he was told that the modules were being retooled for 1st-level parties. |
| grahamdrew05-28-05, 08:50 AM | If that's true will we ever play the Origins mods outside Origins? It seems like there's a considerable lead time between when a mod premires and when it's put into the system. If the Origins mods are retooled for 1st level and a level bump occurs a month later at GenCon (since the bumps are applied indescriminantly via the online tracking system) is the general public ever going to be able to play the mods? TimRat, could you consider this a follow-up if what JohnduBois says pans out, thanks. Andrew Beard |
| TimRat05-29-05, 11:57 PM | i know someone who is writing one of the origins mods and i do believe they are made for 4th level characters but they are scaled down so there is room for 2nd and 3rd level parts just like there will be monsters for a 5th level party. remember that you could play 3 and 4 before origins which would probably put you to at least 3 if not 4 by origins. hopefully #4 will show up this week on the database and 3 will be shortly coming too. |
