This augmentation CAN result in more power points invested in the power than your manifester level. Additional implated power link shards can be drawn upon for additional 2 power points. 3000gp. FYI: This is a "Quori Embedded Shard" which is essentially a non-sloted item that requires 1 permanant hp loss, and heal ranks to embed into the flesh of a Kalashtar or Inspired. lets compare this to a metamagic rod... the cheapest rods cost ~3,000gp they can cost as ~250,000gp Both are limited in there own way... -Power link only works on powers than have augmentations built into them, or if they have metapsionic feats... -metamagic rods are limited to a specific metamagic feat... but the rod grants you the feat. So.. the BIG problems... 1) Cost.. this is way to low... 2) This item should NOT stack with itself.... Example Case: Psion(Telepath) 7, MoH Wealth=18,000gp, taking the Craft feat drops the item cost to 2,000gp... so you can spend all your wealth on 9 of these power link stones, loose 9hp.. and gain the ability to manifest a 26 die energy power... or beter... Use the Scism.. so you can deliver a 20 die energy power.... and a 26 die power in the same round.... thats 46d6 of energy damage in a single round.... at 7th round...

You're limited to your manifester level in power links, so you can have only 7 links at 7th level. Still, that means you can throw a 21-point power. And your Schism could throw a 15-point power. One of my friends was fond of throwing Quickened Astral Construct 8s into APL 7 combats. When he got to 8th level, he could manifest Quickened Astral Construct 9 for even more brokenness. I think there was supposed to be an errata saying you couldn't use power links to augment past your manifester level, which would still make them a better deal than Cognizance Crystals, but I haven't seen an official copy.
haferka 07-05-06, 09:50 AM	You're limited to your manifester level in power links, so you can have only 7 links at 7th level. Where are you reading this limit? I have read the description several times.. and I failed to find any limit to the number of stones you can have...

haferka 07-06-06, 09:52 AM	Glad to see they added a limit... now they just need to add those 3 little letters to the item description.... "NOT" .... so they can NOT be used to overchannel beyond the manifester Level.
