05-30-05, 09:48 PM Is it the intention that you can DM a DM's Mark any number of times and also play in it (with a different DM, obviously) once?

"What are DM's Mark adventures?
DM's Mark adventures allow you, the DM, to design and run your own storyline within the structure of Mark of Heroes. Starting in March 2005 you'll be able to order special DM's Mark adventure. The download contains basic advice on how to structure the adventure's challenges (a spread of ELs and current campaign considerations), instructions for event reporting, and a small selection of special story objects that you can utilize. With that toolbox, you can write and report your own adventure! Players can only participate in one DM's Mark adventure a month, but DMs can run their adventure (or even multiple adventures) to as many groups as they can seat within the course of the month. Better still, ordering or running a DM's Mark adventure does not exclude you from playing in one later in the month. In other words, the only person who "eats" a DM's Mark adventure is the adventure designer."

This was not the case with the March DM's Mark - a friend of mine did not get credit for playing in my game. He had run his own DM's Mark a couple of days before.

I understand that the changes to the database and ordering pages required to allow this aren't trivial, so it doesn't bother me that much that there are teething troubles. (I'm a computer programmer - I'm used to bugs.)

I'm just wondering:
1) Am I correct in thinking that you should be able to play in a DM's Mark after DMing one for the same month?
2) If the database problem has been recognised to exist?
3) If something will be done about it? or even...
4) Something has been done about it! :)

I think that the "you can't play in any adventure that you have run" is a rule that trumps anything else. Probably a Database design issue.

06-10-05, 04:48 PM so your asking if you are supposed to play in a DMs mark and DM one in the same month? yes you are supposed to be allowwed to do this.

they know there is an issue (at least i'll make them aware again).

obviously if you create the adventure and DM people through it you can't order it again off of your own part and play in that same one.

now if a friend came up with an adventure and gamed one that would be fine BUT you can only play in ONE DMs mark a month.

i'll let them know again.
