So I set up a gameday via the ordering tool, change the filter to "Eberron - Mark of Heroes" and, um... One entry. Which on closer inspection turns out to be a 'write it yourself' placeholder. Where are the adventures? |

So I set up a gameday via the ordering tool, change the filter to "Eberron - Mark of Heroes" and, um... One entry. Which on closer inspection turns out to be a 'write it yourself' placeholder. Where are the adventures? Those are the adventures. Although sometimes they have both a "write your own" and a normal one available. Sometimes there aren't any available at all. |

Nope, not kidding. There are usually one one or two mark of heroes adventures available at a time (sometimes none), and they are only available for home play for one month at a time. Check around, there are a lot of threads on the general subject. |

Just be glad there's a placeholder. There have been a few times when the campaign has been completely unplayable for home games because even the placeholders weren't available. Andrew Beard |
| Vigabrand04-13-06, 10:08 AM | In the year or so since MoH started they have made what, 13 mods, and 2 or 3 specials playable only at cons? In addition, you can play one adventure of your making each month. Aside from the woefully low number of mods, the mods retire very quickly (for home games), which is why you don't see many on the download list. Just keep in mind that if you don't attend cons, you'll never surpass the level bump before it arrives. I had such high hopes for MoH. vig |
| grahamdrew04-13-06, 10:26 AM | There have been 12 mods, with one still unreleased, three specials, and as of this month 9 DM's Marks (of which at least three have been con-exclusive). Keep in mind that you can play an adventure of your own every month they put the placeholder out. Right now is the golden age of the DM's Mark (even if the files are still missing), as it's quite possibly the first time we've had one on time three months in a row. Prior to Winter Fantasy 2006 DM's Marks were often late or missing alltogether. In 14 months we've had 6 home-playable DM's Marks. Yeah, it's a mess... Andrew Beard |

They haven't handled it well, no. One thing to keep in mind is that, unlike a Living campaign, any particular Mark of Heroes module will only be available for play for a couple of months. So, even if they were getting things out on schedule, there'd only be a small number of modules available at any one time. |
| drDRFAUSTUS04-13-06, 04:31 PM | I have been a member for a while, but never really participated in any games until last month. Now I am trying to get my group on the bandwagon, but it sounds like it is a frustrating time to be in the RPGA. I would rather play in just one campaign setting, but it looks like the best way to go is multicultural. If no Eberron home game slot appears, can't we just plan a home game in another slot, but play Eberron anyway? I mean that is all they send out campaign card-wise --- just Eberron cards. |
| redgamer04-13-06, 04:52 PM | If the option you want it not there pick homegame(other) {you are talking about ordering mods right? if not I can't see a problem, you play what ever you want to play} You can't play only MoH as your only campaing unless you play less than once a month. Living Force and Legacy of Green Regent of ending. Living Death, Living Kingdom of Kalamar, Heros of Rhibbus (a non RPGA campaign) and many other campaigns have dozens of playable modules. If the release schedule is assumed to be constant you could play a new Living Greyhawk mod every week for about 257 weeks (almost 5 years) before running out. Depending on where you live there are 43-54 playable LG mods right now. |
| Madfox1104-14-06, 04:24 AM | Mark of Heroes appears to be a convention/game day type of campaign. You can play it at a home campaign of sorts, but not the type of game where you play once each week. We organize a game whenever an adventure is available. Note that I do really like the DM's Marks especially for the home games since it allows you to deal with some loose ends and personalize the PCs a bit more - though for us MoH is a campaign where we can experiment with out characters and new rules items. If you want a game for each week, I agree that for the moment Living Greyhawk is a better option. Though perhaps Xendrik looks like it would be fine as well - assuming it keeps up to what it promisses to be (and I have hopes it will). |
